Fragment “Escapism”
The Wild Stage

I flee
I fleet
Walking the park
Dim lit lanterns
Dark lit sky
The church towering above
us
The rest
We are all here being invisible
In a meat body of flesh
Weighting us down
Soaking it in
Soaking it out

The advised time is 15 minutes
I can’t breath
The kid sqreeks
And we are all in the water
Packed like a can of sardines
And we are here
But we are not

Hello strangers
Will it rain today?
I want to feel the water on my cheeks
And above us the mist
Absolute darkness

On this island
In this basement
In this town
If you look at the sea
Dark dark dark

Anticipation
Constant - disappointment
Om mani padme hum
I am the lotus flower
I hug myself
To sleep

Silently the night passes
I leave myself
behind
In the crowd

Come find me

Fragment “Dance of the Seven Veils”

VEIL OF THE PERSONA

(Herodias solo)

I didn’t get a voice
Nor a piece of my own body
My heart ripped from my chest
Given to the wolves
Like a bleeding lump of flesh

Who slaughters their own blood?
You call yourself “The Great”
But I don’t get further than coward
He, who strangles anyone
That looks his way
Will end as a stranger
Of his own universe

The cherry tree was not yet in bloom
Or you yanked the buds out
Discarded as an orphan to my uncle
Before I could taste the first fruit
But from the seeds I grew my orchard
From darkness I gave birth to light
Salomé - will be her name

Named after your own sister
Who deserves more respect
Than you will ever enforce
And in her footmarks
I will follow
And divorce him
Who you forced upon me

(John the Baptist comes in vocally as an echo)

My body will no longer be yours
My heart yanked back
From the animal’s beak
Who dares to challenge me now?
I play this game with dedication

Like her namesake
I will be more cunning than a fox
And protect her from your tyranny
Until you end up as the soil of your own rotten state
